"Cruel" is a story based on a dangerous love triangle. In the play, Gianecchini is Gustavo: the character is a proud, perceptive man that, driven by revenge, plans the events and leads them in the direction he anticipates. Played by Erick Marmo, Adolfo is an insecure painter that can be easily manipulated but is subtly strong. Married to Tekla (Maria Manoella), who is a beautiful, seductive and witty writer, Adolfo falls into a trap set by Gustavo, Tekla’s egocentric and cruel ex-husband. Tekla, the object of desire of both men, despite her coldness and intelligence, is victimized by Gustavo’s malicious articulation. "Cruel" is set in only one room where two men and a woman are confronted and play a sort of psychological manipulation game.
