March for Zenturo

It’s new year’s eve of 2.441. While a crowd gathers on the streets protesting about something, a group of friends reunite to celebrate. This reunion brings back old memories and reflections about their lives over the years: what they were like, what they wanted to become, what they actually became, and what lies ahead. The spectacle is a joint effort between two theater companies on opposing ends of the spectrum, which teamed up to push the current space-time envelope. Espanca! (Minas Gerais, Brazil) and Grupo XIX de Teatro (Sao Paulo, Brazil) came together in a project arising from the intimacy of two groups of friends. The play contemplates the twists and turns of our time; a time in which the future befalls us, the present struggles to stay alive, and the past is a reality with no powers of clairvoyance.
