A set of four mini-operas featuring the following themes: desire, passion, tragedy, disappointments, jealousy and the comedy of all love affairs. Their setting is Rio de Janeiro, an operatic city by its very nature, during four significant time periods: 1890, 1920, 1950 and 1980.
The plot is inspired by the style and the fictional universe of four leading playwrights and chroniclers of Rio de Janeiro: Artur Azevedo, João do Rio, Nelson Rodrigues and Mauro Rasi.
