Popcorn – any similarity is not just coincidence

Marcia, a housewife with no literary experience, throws a family dinner party to celebrate the award that she will receive in Norway for her first book, which has became a best seller. The guests at the dinner party are: her father Otávio, who is a respected journalist, her brother Marcos, who is a university professor that dreams about having his studies published, and Marcos’ wife Roni, who is a loud and indiscreet young lady. The tension is set when another guest arrives: Saubara O’donnor, a famous TV star who intends to buy the copyrights of the book to turn it into a movie. In addition to the noisy family relationships that cause embarrassment, the atmosphere becomes very tense when the star begins to tell them her ideas for the adaptation of the book, which don't please the first-time book author one bit.
