Description
While the Scandalous Marquis de Sade is serving a seventeen-year prison sentence, Inspector Marais is commissioned by the government to pose as The Marquis. As the impostor throws orgies and prints obscene texts, he gradually loses sense of his own identity. It is a story of love, loneliness, betrayal and freedom.
