This live recording of the Kirov Ballet performing the much-loved Petipa/Tchaikovsky classic, in Oleg Vinogradov‘s highly-acclaimed reworking, comes from the Place des Arts, Montreal. The stylish grandeur of his Sleeping Beauty displays the traditions of the classical heritage at their finest, and highlights the talents of star dancers Larissa Lezhnina and Faroukh Ruzimatov, in the roles of Princess Aurora and Prince Desiré.
